The sound is "alive," meaning it accurately replicates the sound of a real aircraft, unlike some sound designers who artificially enhance highs and lows while cutting out the mids to make it sound "expensive" and "clear."
We are not in a vacuum; therefore, the sounds incorporate the ambiance, acoustics, and correct volume for each aspect.
Every system present in the A340 has its own sound and is accurately located.
If it has a sound in a real aircraft, it will be included in the BSS A340 sound pack.
Live sound system - exclusively from BSS: every system sound will adapt depending on the environment and system status - whether in the air, on the ground, during demand, supply, or in various outside conditions.
Whether under the main panel, in the aft galley, at seat 33A or 44K, the sound will correspond correctly to the mechanical systems' locations, cones, attenuation, and system status.
We don't name every sound and its location because there are 740 of them, and they all vary based on conditions, and also to protect ourselves from copying by other sound creators.
Ventilation system, air conditioning, hydraulic, fuel, and electric systems all have hundreds of sounds available at any given time, all included in this sound pack.
Sounds are recorded using professional equipment such as RODE and TASCAM, and then transferred to the simulator using Studio Speakers.
BSS has many helpers, including pilots and ground personnel, who assist with recording. Additionally, the head of BSS, who has 15 years of experience as a pilot, oversees the recording process.
BSS aims not to create "cool" and "synthesized" sounds with the help of AI and cleaning software but to faithfully port carefully recorded high-quality sounds to the simulator to make the experience as realistic as possible.
