This lighting system is a complete rebuild of X-Plane road lighting, not an add-on or modification of existing road lights. All default lamp posts are removed and replaced with a fully independent lighting system, making it entirely separate from X-Plane’s default road network.
The scenery is built using the latest high-resolution data, with several gigabytes of data processed to achieve highly realistic results. Modified versions of default X-Plane lights are used within custom scenery objects and then injected into the simulator. Before injection, the data is extensively processed to ensure convincing and realistic coverage—focusing not only on light density, but also on accurate color distribution and illumination areas.
For the first time in X-Plane, only urban roads are illuminated. Roads classified as extra-urban remain dark, closely matching real-world lighting behavior. This was made possible by processing a large, precise database that allows accurate placement and filtering of lights to achieve a truly realistic road lighting system.
