The Tecnam P2006T is one of the VSKYLABS Flagship projects for X-Plane flight simulator.
New in 2024 -> Completely updated model for X-Plane 12 (xp11 version still available)
The VSKYLABS P2006T Project was designed following the Tecnam 'MK-I' model which was commonly used at the time that VSKYLABS developed it for X-Plane (2016-2017). Tecnam introduced the production 'MK-II' models to the market in May 2017. The P2006T 'MK-II', which is not included in this product, includes several enhancements such as the G1000 Nxi (instead the G950), new seats design and improved lighting system.
The standard avionics configurations of the real-world P2006T includes an analog IFR version, a Garmin G950/G1000 IFR version, and a 'P2006T MkII' option which includes the Garmin G1000 Nxi package.
The analog cockpit version of the VSKYLABS Tecnam P2006T is equipped with a dual GNS configuration (Garmin 530 + 430), which makes it fully capable of advanced flight planning and navigation. When it comes to its instrumentation, it is a fully capable IFR aircraft, with dual NAV and COMM systems and displays.
In the real aircraft, the Garmin G1000 Nxi package configuration includes slightly modified side panels, having the CB panels shifted to the front panel, instead of the analog engine instrument gauges which are integrated into the display of the G1000 Nxi pack.
The VSKYLABS G1000 version features the latest X-Plane G1000 (which includes the integrated engine displays as in the G1000 Nxi), but in addition to the integrated engine parameters display in the G1000, it has also the analog engine instrument gauges as in the G950/G1000 non Nxi configuration.
The project features highly defined systems. Due to various X-Plane limitations, some systems are being simulated with simplified architecture.
Tecnam P2006T General Information
The Tecnam P2006T is an Italian high-winged, twin-engine all-metal light aircraft built by Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam, which is based in Italy. The P2006T is the lightest twin-engine certified aircraft available, and is a four-seat aircraft with fully retractable landing gear and liquid-cooled Rotax 912 engines.
The P2006T first flew on 13 September 2007 and was certified by EASA on 5 June 2009. NASA's all electric X-57 Maxwell prototype aircraft is being developed using a P2006T as its basic structure.
