This model represents yet another a major leap forward in core technology used by Thranda, refining features that have been around in Thranda products for a while, but giving them a markedly more robust and refined feel. This plane is a continuation of Thranda’s "Dynamic Generation Series", and we call it "DGS+", because of the significant leap in customization we are now moving toward. More about the DGS+ Series

The Beechcraft V35B Bonanza is a single-engine, piston-powered general aviation aircraft produced by Beechcraft, an American manufacturer based in Wichita, Kansas. Celebrated for its elegant styling, impressive performance, and versatility, the V35B remains a favorite among private owners, instructors, and cross-country travelers. It boasts a low-wing design paired with retractable tricycle landing gear, making it well-suited for operations from both paved and unpaved airstrips. It has the distinction of the longest continuous production run of any aircraft in history. The V-tail V35 series debuted in 1966, with the refined V35B variant introduced in 1970 and produced through 1982, with approximately 1,335 units built.

Dial in exactly how difficult you think the controls should be.
This simulates different pilot's physique and strength. (Stronger pilots can put more pressure on controls, and hold full deflection at higher speeds).

Log Book App

Calls up Laminar's log book within the ThrandaPad's own display window.

Checklist App

Very complete and accurate checklist, matching the one in the user manual, and allowing for the ticking off of boxes of completed items.
Completely re-written app, now supports "click-and-drag" to quickly select entire pages of checklist items.

Select optional tip tanks (which have an effect on flight dynamics, drag, moment of inertia, fuel weight, etc.)

AviTab App (optional)

If AviTab (freeware plugin) is installed, it can be viewed inside the tablet, or as a pop-up window.

SkunkCrafts Updater

Thranda recommends using the standalone SkunkCrafts Updater app, to stay up-to-date on the latest versions of the plane.
It also includes a (more limited) version of the SkunkCrafts Updater inside the ThrandaPad. The reason it is more limited is because while the plane is open, the updater cannot access certain files. (It will auto-launch the external version of the SkunkCrafts Updater, if available).

Flight dynamics and systems:

Detailed and accurate flight dynamics and weight and balance with the help of real-world V35B pilots. This not only gives this aircraft the proper "feel", but also accurate takeoff, climb, cruise, and landing performance.
The Bonanza's refined aerodynamics and retractable landing gear make it a joy to fly, but there are flight envelopes in which this plane can be a bit unpredictable.
The V35B features a detailed electrical system, including bus tie breakers and failure modes, batteries, avionics busses, generator, starter, external power (GPU), in this case, a little unit that sits on the wing.
Tie-downs and chocks actually keep the plane from moving, even in high winds.

Advanced FMOD-based sound system:

High fidelity, multi-track sounds with smooth transitions and amazing atmospheric effects.
Different sounds for front of plane than for back of plane
Panning around the plane in exterior view yields awesome 3D audio effects, including "blade slapping" sound when view is perpendicular to prop.
Individual buttons and switches in the cockpit each have their own unique sound.
Sounds actually give you clues as to what's happening under the hood… such as electrical load on the busses, hooking up the GPU, etc.
Outside wind intensity is affected by slip and AoA. (The more the surface area of the fuselage is hit by oncoming wind, the louder the sounds)

Thranda’s implementation of the V35B is the first in a new series of aircraft that makes use of a completely new logic operating system for the tablet (now called "ThrandaPad"), as well as the logic that drives all the instruments and their respective pop-up windows, which allows for enormous flexibility in configuration and customization. It still provides support for 3rd party add-ons, like both TDS’s new and RealityXP’s GTN650 and 750 units, as well as AviTab, and makes use of 8k textures throughout the plane, ensuring extreme detail and fidelity to the original. 5 static liveries are included, but the dynamic livery editor can be used inside the sim to reconfigure 4 further paint scheme variants in many different colors. The new dynamic livery editor features an improved user interface, as well as the option to scale, anti-alias, and save created liveries. Additional software has been added to the ThrandaPad tablet, including a new JSON file browser, an Engine Configuration app, a built-in version of the SkunkCrafts Updater, and a sandbox app that lets users edit and configure Pop-up windows for instruments.
