Alice Springs Airport (YBAS / ASP) is an Australian regional airport south of Alice Springs, Northern Territory. The airport has two runways, one of approx.. 2,400 meters and one of 1,100 meters. In 2016, the airport had around 600,00 passengers. Alice Springs accommodates flights from Qantas and Virgin Australia to the main, big airports of Australia, including Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Interestingly though, the busiest route from Alice Springs is to Adelaide and Darwin. Apart from that, regional airlines like Airnorth and Alliance Airlines connect the airport with several domestic destinations. Alice Springs is also well-known to be the first large scale aircraft boneyard outside the United States.
